Meet The Staff

Chuck Gardner, President
Chuck Gardner is a leader in the bowling industry. Bowling Solutions was founded by Chuck and he takes great pride in our organization. Chuck’s chief responsibilities include buying, promotion, marketing and training of our staff, and he also works diligently with the coaches of the Junior Program to ensure our junior bowlers are receiving the best possible coaching available. He is the man behind the creative marketing ideas and our expansion plans. Chuck firmly believes Bowling Solutions is THE number one Full Service Bowling Headquarters. This is accomplished by listening to the customers needs, evaluating their game and making educated recommendations to the customer. The goal of Bowling Solutions is not to simply sell a ball, a bag or a pair of shoes, but to build our business based on a two sided loyalty and to create a win-win situation, where our staff and our customers feel “at-home” in our bowling stores. When Chuck is in town, you will find him at one of our shops giving lessons and assisting people of all ages improve their skill level and knowledge of the game he loves.

Chuck Gardner has been in and around bowling for 25+ years. As of January 29, 2007 he accepted a full time position with Brunswick as the Southeastern Product Specialist. Chuck is extremely excited to be part of the Number 1 team in the bowling industry and looks forward to many successful years with Brunswick. Chuck’s primary responsibility is to make sure the pro shops in his territory have access to the latest and greatest bowling equipment in the industry.

Prior to this Chuck was the Director of Coaching and Tour Support for Columbia Industries. In this position Chuck traveled with the National PBA Tour providing both coaching and technical support to the PBA Tour Players. He also held coaching clinics throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Chuck began his tenure with Columbia Industries in November 2001 where initially he was both a Tour Staff Player and Tour Representative. He served as the East Coast Sales Manager until May of 2005 when he accepted the Director of Coaching and Tour Support position.

He was named one of the Top 100 Bowling Coaches by Bowlers Journal International in July 2005. Chuck is a Silver Level Coach with USBC and enjoys helping people improve their game, no matter what their level. He has been a PBA member for approximately 20 years, retiring from the National PBA Tour in November of 2002. He still occasionally frequents the PBA Southern Region Tour. Chuck is the former Director of Pro Shop Operations for AMF Bowling and owned his own 32 lane family recreation center in Franklin, VA for about 7 years, selling the center in 1998.

He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife Deborah, a Ruby Macaw, Rainbow & the newest addition Lexi, a golden retriever/lab mix, which they adopted for Christmas. He has a 30 year old daughter, Vicki, who lives in Charleston, SC and a 25 year old son, Chuck II, who lives in West Palm Beach, FL. Chuck’s idea of relaxing includes sporting events (almost all of them) or finding an exotic island, free of hustle, bustle & telephones.

Deborah Gardner, Business Manager and CFO
Deborah Gardner serves dual roles as our Business Manager and CFO. She handles all of the paperwork, finances, budgeting, human resources, and web site maintenance and provides the feminine touch to the shops. The display windows are normally her “work of art”.

Deborah was employed by the PGA Tour as a Regional Senior Accounting Director, where she oversaw four Tournament Players Clubs. The TPC Piper Glen in Charlotte, NC, TPC Southwind, in Memphis, TN, TPC Virginia Beach in Virginia Beach, VA and TPC Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, NC. Her home base at TPC Piper Glen was sold by the PGA Tour in July of 2007.

Due to her rigorous schedule, you will rarely find Deborah on the lanes bowling these days. Once a competitive bowler, she now enjoys having fun with the game and using the time to socialize and wind down. Deborah is a magnet to the youth program and builds strong, long lasting relationships with our junior bowlers.

We are fortunate to have a financial person with a complete understanding of the bowling industry on staff. This is a tremendous asset to the growth of Bowling Solutions.

When asked about her favorite vacation spot, she merely wants the sun, sand, “real” water (meaning you can’t see land on the other side) and beverages with little umbrellas !!!! A perfect day would be spending time with family & friends on the lake with a boat, jet skis and a cooler.
